Trekking insurance is personal accident insurance modified for trekking. Personal Accident Cover is 24 hours during the Trekking Period. Death or Permanent Total/Partial Disablement caused by High Altitude Sickness, Snow Blindness, Frostbite and Death/Injury due to Blizzard are considered to be an accident and are included in Personal Accident cover.
It can be extended to cover:
- Medical Expenses
- Search & Rescue
Exclusions:
- Self-inflicted injury or illness.
- Medical Expenses incurred beyond 12 months.
- War & Civil War, Government acts.
- Flying as a pilot or other crew member.
- Effect or influence (temporary or otherwise) of alcohol or drugs.
- Venereal disease, AIDS, or AIDS related complex.
- Whilst racing on wheels or horseback.
- Whilst playing Polo, Hunting, Pig Sticking, Big Game Shooting, Paper Chasing on horseback.
- Committing any breach of law with criminal intent.
- Any injury or illness related to Pregnancy.
- Consequential loss of any nature.
- Person below 16 years or above 60 years. etc.
