Duty Insurance pays the duty of India / difference between market value and C.I.F. value in the case of insured goods do not reach Nepal due to Theft, Pilferage, and Non-delivery while the goods are in the course of transit from Calcutta to Nepal.
Only the goods that are imported to Nepal through land via India can be covered. The policy does not cover the loss or damage of the goods in the course of transit. Insurance can be issued to all non-sensitive items like watches, silk, fabrics, species, electronic goods and parts thereof, etc.
