It is mandatory to fill up the proposal and KYC forms properly with the attachment of photos and a copy of citizenship or passport for all types of insurance.
If all the required documents are complete by the consumer; we verify it and we can issue a policy within an hour otherwise in one working day.
As per directive of Nepal Insurance Authority for property, vehicle, marine, travel medical insurance, agriculture & micro insurance; further for other insurance as per rate estimated by underwriting and reinsurance department including stamp duty and value added tax (VAT).
Renewal notice is sent to the concern one month prior before the policy is expired.
Where to Claim:
Claim intimation should be done via mail to firstname.lastname@example.org or can be informed by telephone numbers 4246101/4246102 of Head Office. Either the claim should be intimated in respective branches of Shikhar Insurance Company Limited. The branch network including mail ID and contact numbers are uploaded on our website.
Claim Procedure & time taken
Once the intimation is complete, the following steps will be carried out by the claim department for claim settlement:
The claim should be settled within 15 days once receiving the surveyor report and other necessary documents.
