Company’s Service:

All services related to non life insurance under the provision and directive of our regulatory body Beema Samitee.

  • Insurance Rules & Regulations, 2049
  • Corporate governance Directive,2075
  • Other rules & regulations & guidelines including all the circulars circulated by regulatory body for non life insurance companies

Documents Required:

It is mandatory to fill up proposal and KYC forms properly with attachment of Photos and copy of citizenship or passport for all types of insurance

  • For Vehicle Insurance: Copy of Blue Book, Renewal notice sent from previous insurance company (for no claim discount)
  • For Property Insurance: Land Ownership certificate (Lalpurja), Nakshaa Pass, Photo of Property to be insured, copies of PAN/VAT registration, company registration for corporate organization.
  • For Marine Insurance: Letter of Credit (L/C), Invoice, Performa invoice
  • For Agriculture Insurance: Certificate of vaccination for animals
  • For Contractor All Risk: Contract Documents, Bill of Quantity (BOQ)
  • Other Insurance: As per requirement

Processing Time:

If all the required documents are complete by consumer; we verify it and we can issue policy with an hour otherwise in one working day.

Service Fee:

As per directive of Beema Samitee for property, vehicle, marine, travel medical insurance, agriculture & micro insurance; further for other insurance as per rate estimated by underwriting and re insurance department  including stamp duty and value added tax(VAT).


Renewal Notice:

Renewal notice is sent to the concern one month prior before the policy is expired.

Where to Claim:

Claim intimation should be done via mail to or can be informed by telephone numbers 4246101/4246102 of Head Office. Either the claim should be intimated in respective branches of Shikhar Insurance Company Limited. The branch network including mail ID and contact numbers are uploaded in our website.

Claim Procedure & time taken

Once the intimation is complete the following steps will be carried out by claim department for claim settlement.

  • Fill up related claim form as assigned by claim department
  • Submit the claim form with supporting pictures of the incident happened
  • Surveyor deputation if required for loss assessment
  • Provide necessary documents as suggested by claim department
  • Discharge Voucher should be sent on to the clammiest
  • After signing DV; collect the cheque within 3 days.

The claim should be settled within 15 days once receiving the surveyor report and other necessary documents.

Quarterly Report

According to the directive of Beema Samitee, quarterly reports are published in every quarter on national daily newspaper.

Where to Put Your Grievance

You can put your grievance at Administration Department head office, secondly with department heads as per issue related to any department. Further, you can directly complain to CEO.
