Travel Medical Insurance

All Nepalese citizens travelling to foreign countries for business and entertainment can take this insurance. People from foreign countries and living in Nepal for a long term can also take this insurance provided their travel begins from and terminates in Nepal.


This insurance can be taken under two plans. Plans are defined as below:
Plan A: Medical Expenses + Personal Accident Cover (A-C)
Plan B: Package Cover (A-N)

The benefits under this insurance is as follows:
A: Personal Accident
B: Medical and Emergency Expenses
C: Hospital Ancillary Benefit
D: Loss of Checked Baggage
E: Delay of Checked Baggage
F: Loss of Passport
G: Personal Liability
H: Travel Delay
I: Hijack
J: Cancellation & Curtailment.
K: Emergency Return Home following Death of a Close Family Member
L: Catastrophe
M: Legal expenses
N: Repatriation of family members travelling with participants

The benefit under different geographical areas is defined as below:
Area 1 : Worldwide including USA & Canada – It provides benefits A-N under Plan B
Area 2 : Worldwide excluding USA & Canada – It provides benefits A-N under Plan B
Area 3 : Asian countries (Brunei, Cambodia, China, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia Mongolia,  Myanmar(Burma), Philippines, South Korea, Taiwan, Thailand, Timar-Leste, Vietnam, Japan, Singapore, Hongkong )– It provides benefits A-I under Plan B
Area 4 : SAARC Countries(India, Bangladesh, Maldives, Bhutan, Sri Lanka, Pakistan & Afghanistan)- It provides benefits A-B under Plan A. Plan B is not applicable for this area.
